Safety Risk Assessment in Urban Public Space Using Structural Equation Modelling
نویسندگان
چکیده
Urban public space is essential in improving population carrying capacity and economic efficiency. However, the characteristics of urban space, such as complex structure, relatively close large mobility, make it prone to fire, stampedes other safety accidents. This study aims develop a systematic approach identify key factors that affect risk spaces assess risk. Based on literature review, 250 structured questionnaires were randomly distributed. Finally, 219 available collected. above data, model built using SEM. The results show construction equipment, road traffic, social governance, environment behaviour significantly (from high low). Specifically, regardless or actual situation, we should pay attention fire awareness empirical prevention awareness. previous studies, this considers influencing risks hierarchically more practically makes contributions field safety. In addition, governments developers can conduct valuable scenario analysis from study.

Structural equation modeling in environmental risk assessment.
Environmental epidemiology requires effective models that take individual observations of environmental factors and connect them into meaningful patterns. Single-factor relationships have given way to multivariable analyses; simple additive models have been augmented by multiplicative (logistic) models. Each of these steps has produced greater enlightenment and understanding. Models that allow ...
متن کاملAn empirical Assessment using structural equation Models
In a recent study, the authors reveal with structural equation models that the positive effect of information technology on generalized trust is mediated by political institutions. Although insightful, a key question remains: Is it the effectiveness and efficiency, the universality, and/or the power-sharing capacity of the state that mediates this effect? Drawing on new institutional economics,...
متن کاملStructural equation models for meta-analysis in environmental risk assessment.
The potential of structural equation models for combining information from different studies in environmental epidemiology is explored. For illustration we synthesize data from two birth cohorts assessing the effects of prenatal exposure to methylmercury on childhood cognitive performance. One cohort was the largest by far, but a smaller cohort included superior assessment of the PCB exposure w...
متن کاملTwin-singleton differences in brain structure using structural equation modelling.
Twin studies are important to investigate genetic influences on variation in human brain morphology in health and disease. However, the twin method has been criticized for its alleged non-generalizability due to differences in the intrauterine and family environment of twins, compared with singletons. To test whether twin-singleton differences complicate interpretation of genetic contributions ...
متن کاملComponent-based Structural Equation Modelling
Two complementary schools have come to the fore in the field of Structural Equation Modelling (SEM): covariance-based SEM and component-based SEM. The first approach has been developed around Karl Jöreskog and the second one around Herman Wold under the name "PLS" (Partial Least Squares). Hwang and Takane have proposed a new component-based SEM method named Generalized Structured Component Anal...
